A webinar on Environmental site Assessment an overview was organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, on February 19, 2021. Syed Hassan Ali, Engineering Lead at Tekcellent Pvt. Ltd., was the session's guest speaker.
The session started by welcoming participants with a brief introduction of the speaker by session moderator Dr. Abdul Ghaffar. The speaker conducted an interactive session by sharing the industrial approach in Environmental Site Assessments and the design of pilot systems for groundwater/soil remediation. He emphasized the importance of environmental impact assessments (ESIA/EIA/IEE).
Students and faculty members including, Dr. Mehmood Ali, Dr. Sadia Khan and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, participated in the seminar. In recognition of the contribution, Syed Hassan Ali was awarded a memento by Dr. Mehmood Ali, Associate Professor of the Environmental Engineering Department.
