| A seminar on industrial career perspectives for Environmental Engineers was organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, on September 18, 2021, following COVID-19 related Govt SOPs. Dr. Mirza Munir Ahmed, Health Safety & Environment Consultant with The World Bank and NOMAC (Oman), was the guest speaker of the session. Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Assistant Professor, welcomed the participants; the session formally began with recitation of Holy Quran. The speaker conducted an interactive session with the students, discussed the importance of skill development, training and certifications in addition to a professional degree in Environmental Engineering for a successful career in the industry at national and international platforms. Students and faculty members, including Dr. Mehmood Ali, Dr. Sadia Khan and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, participated and appreciated the seminar. In recognition of the contribution, Dr. Mirza Munir Ahmed was awarded a memento by Dr. Mehmood Ali, Associate Professor of the Environmental Engineering Department. |
