Department of Environmental Engineering administers postgraduate programme leading to the degrees of Master of Engineering (ME) in Environmental Engineering. The mission of this master programme is to nurture students and professionals for successful career paths in Environmental Engineering through specialized classroom teaching, discipline-specific education, field visits together with seminars participation. The programme involves participants in knowledge creation through advanced scientific research and prepares students for life-long learning in the field of Environmental Engineering with particular emphasis in the areas of air pollution control, water quality, wastewater treatment and solid waste disposal techniques.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO):

  1. To create awareness among the graduating students of global environmental issues and equip them with the tools and skills used in the planning and design of engineering works related to the preservation and improvement of the natural and built environment.
  2. To acquaint students with instruments and techniques used for the prediction and measurement of environmental quality.
  3. To produce potential graduate students who can meet the expectations of employers by applying the skills and tools taught during the course work (degree programme).
