Environmental Pollution: Sources, Pollutants, Effects and remediation of air and noise pollution; Sources, Pollutants, Effects and remediation of water and land pollution; Radiation pollution, Toxic/hazardous wastes

Water Demand & Supply: Population forecast, Water uses & consumption, Types and variations in demand

Water Quality: Water impurities and their health significance, Water quality standards, Water quality monitoring

Water Treatment: Treatment of Surface & Ground Waters, Screening, Sedimentation, Coagulation and flocculation; Granular and membrane filtration, Water softening methods; Disinfection methods, Emergency treatment methods

Building Water Supply: Layout of water supply arrangement, Fixtures and their installation, Tapping of water mains

Energy efficiency and sustainability: Introduction to energy conservation, Energy management in industry and construction activities, Green buildings and sustainable development

Communicable Disease Control: Water borne, foodborne and vector borne diseases, Water supply and sanitation

Laboratory Works: Related to the above, Sampling Techniques and Examination of Water (physical, chemical and microbiological parameters).
