The Department of Environmental Engineering arranged an industrial field visit to Soorty Denim Mills Private Limited, Fabric Unit 8, Karachi for the postgraduate students on January 11, 2023. Dr. Mehmood Ali and Dr. Sadia Khan accompanied the students during the visit. There was an interactive session with the management which was followed by a visit to the manufacturing plant including their Effluent treatment plant for wastewater management and sustainable use of resources and materials for the production of quality products. They inform students about their practices for reduced ecological and carbon footprint. They demonstrate their responsible production practices which have great social and environmental impacts. |
