The Department of Environmental Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, successfully organized an educational visit to Feroze1888 Mills on November 21, 2024. The visit was arranged in coordination by Directorate of Industrial Liaison of University and led by Dr. Abdul Ghaffar. The visit was designed to provide undergraduate students of Civil Engineering (specialization in Construction) with practical exposure to advanced industrial processes related to water treatment and environmental sustainability.
The students were warmly welcomed by the management of Feroze1888 Mills, whose unwavering support ensured a highly enriching experience. The visit was led by Engr. Danish Ahmed Rajput, Deputy General Manager of Plant Engineering (ETP & Water Reclaim) and a distinguished alumnus of NED University. His insightful guidance during the tour allowed students to witness water treatment processes, applying advance wastewater treatment and applications of theoretical concepts taught in their academic curriculum.
This collaborative effort proved instrumental in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industrial practice, particularly in areas like water treatment processes. The Department greatly appreciates the hospitality and efforts of the Feroze1888 Mills team and commends Engr. Danish Ahmed Rajput for his inspiring contributions as an industry leader and NED alumnus.
The Department of Environmental Engineering remains committed to fostering strong partnerships with industry leaders to enhance the practical knowledge and skillset of its students, preparing them for successful careers in engineering and environmental sustainability.
