Antibiotic Resistance in Drinking Water

This study aimed at identifying antimicrobial resistance in drinking water. The study indicates the biological contamination along with antibiotic-resistant bacteria and genes in drinking water. It highlights the need for continuous monitoring and control of emerging contaminants in urban water supply for protection of public health and ecosystems.

Assessment of Water Quality Along a Recreational Beach of Karachi

Quality of recreational water is of concern on a global level. Investments are made for maintaining the quality of beach water and precautionary measures are undertaken to lower the contaminant level of microbes responsible for waterborne diseases so that public can use it for recreational activities. As a case study of Karachi, Sea View, one of the most visited place by public was assessed and the water quality was monitored.
