The Department of Environmental Engineering, NED University of Engineering and Technology organized an international webinar on ‘Environmental Considerations in the Oil and Gas Industry’ for the postgraduate students enrolled in the Environmental Engineering and Environmental Management programs on September 27, 2025 at the Seminar Hall of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, NED University. The distinguished guest speaker for the session was Dr. Kamel Bou Hamdan, an Assistant Professor, in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society, Institute for Geo-Energy Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK. The event was moderated by Dr. Mehmood Ali, Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering, NED University. The guest speaker shared information about environmental pollution caused by petroleum oil and gas industry, its impact on the health of humans and the pollution control innovative green technologies. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the guest speaker by Dr. Mehmood Ali and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar. |
